권준표 교수님께서 위의 식에 chain rule 을 적용하면 저렇게 된다고 하셨는데, 어떻게 하면 저런식으로 표현되는건지 궁금합니다. 혹시 조금 더 자세한 풀이나 설명을 해주시면 감사하겠습니다.

강의에서 설명드린 것처럼
u_x = u_r*r_x + u_theta*theta_x가 된다는 것은 이해하셨을 겁니다.
polar coordinate로 바뀌는 과정에서
x또한 r과 theta의 함수이기 때문에
미분을 각각 해줘야 한다는 것이 포인트였죠.
이와 같이 x로 미분을 해줘야 한다면
- 먼저 r로 미분하고 그 r을 x로 다시 미분하고,
- 먼저 theta로 미분하고 그 theta를 x로 미분하는 과정이 필요합니다.
이에 따라
(u_r)_x = u_rr*r_x + u_rtheta*theta_x
가 되는 것입니다.
처음에 어떻게 미분되었는지를
잘 기억해보시면
쉽게 이해하실 수 있을 겁니다.
